Ocean Avenue Live

Yay, finally it was published a video from the last Yellowcard show at Indianopolis Motor Speedway.

Besides the song Ocean Avenue (with the noise of cars in the background), at the end of the video there are some moments where Ryan is talking to the crowd and he's having some problems with the microphone.

Yellowcard joining couples?!

I'm sure this spring acoustic tour has been special for a lot of people, after all it's a unique opportunity to see Yellowcard playing rare musics in a special version!

More special was the show on this March 26, at Beta Bar in Florida, for Jennyfer, an american girl who was there to have some fun and left the place engaged!
The "guilty"? Our dear Ryan Key!

At the end of the show, he asked attention and said that he wanted to announce something:
"Is Jennyfer here with Ryan?" (coincidence or not, Jen's boyfriend is called Ryan too)
She raised the hand, the spotlight went to the couple and Ryan said:
"Ryan wants to know... will you marry him?"

Imagine the surprise! To receive a marriage proposal listening to the perfect soundtrack!!!

Jennyfer is suuuuuper happy and the marriage is already scheduled!

Hahaha, I loved that!
Count on Yellowcard to leave your boy/girl completely in love with you! xD

Humours + Tour

Everybody already knows about the rumours regarding an end of Yellowcard.
LP is on another band? Ryan and Sean on other careers?
The fact is: there are people who love to create!
Having another band or careers doesn't mean that the "main" band was left behind.
No, no one fan wants the end of the band.
The tour begins this Friday. They added shows and some of them are sold out!
So don't you guys freak out, let's wait for official news from the band.

Bands on tour with Yellowcard

Hey guys. As everybody knows, Yellowcard will be again on tour in USA. In March, the boys will go to the road across the country, but they're not alone. They're sharing the stage with four bands, maybe a little unknown for us. Thinking about that, we introduce them!

The Spill Canvas

Lead by the guitarist Nick Thomas, The Spill Canvas is (according to the site SPLENDID) the best pop-punk band of South Dakota. Their influences are Saves the Day, Further Seems Forever, Copeland, Maroon 5, John Mayer, Ben Lee, Atmosphere and Killswitch Engage. The talented guitarist Nick also plays piano and bass. Besides he wrote and produced his first album, Sunsets and Car Crashes. The other members are Joe Beck (drums), Scott McGuire (bass) and Dan Ludeman (guitarrs).

Do you want to check their music? Visit the sites:

Treaty of Paris

Formed by Mike Chorvat (vocals), Dan Wade (guitars), Brandon Capetillo (bass), Phil Kosch (guitars) and Chris Insidioso (drums), Treaty of Paris is from Chicago and brings a kind of music like Fall Out Boy, The Academy and Rise Against. They have already played with bands well-known, as Sum41, Jacks Mannequin, Motion City Soundtrack and Cartel. Their influences are Beach Boys, Weezer, Jimmy Eat World and Queen. It worths to know them!!

PlayRadioPlay!

PlayRadioPlay is a Dan Hunter solo project. A nerd (according to himself) who simply likes to make musci. And it really seems to like, because he's de guitarist, drummer, bassist, keyboarder and sintetize the songs. Dan defines his music as Indie/Eletronic and their songs are defined as "sweet and cute", but if you carefully listen to them, will notice a dark side. His influence is Smashing Pumpkins.

MxPx is replaced

Ryan commented the replace of MxPx on the blog:

"The Spill Canvas to Replace MXPX on Upcoming Tour

We recently released the information about our upcoming tour which starts in March. Unfortunately MXPX is now unavailable for the dates which we are sad to hear. However we have what we think is incredible news as we have some great friends that will be filling the slot. The Spill Canvas is in my opinion one of the best new bands around and we are happy to have them. If you didn't read anything about the tour, we will be playing acoustic eery night and the set list is loaded with stuff you haven't heard in a long time. Can't wait to get on the road.

-Ryan"

New Album + Tour!

Calm down! Yellowcard didn't forget Paper Walls (that's impossible, right? :P), but as Ryan said, they're going to release a new album live and there are already tour dates!

"Live From Las Vegas At the Palms" was recorded in last October, it has 10 tracks and will be available on iTunes next 22. Wow, fast!

The songs are:

1. The Takedown
2. Fighting
3. Lights and Sounds
4. Rough Landing, Holly
5. Keeper
6. Light Up the Sky
7. Only One (acústica) - ai, ai, ai! (L)
8. Shadows and Regrets
9. Way Away
10. Ocean Avenue

There's more: they'll play with MxPx, PlayRadioPlay! and Treaty Of Paris.. Besides being the main band, while the others will play eletric, Yellowcard will make the shows acoustic (probably because of the LP's grandmother who is not okay - let's wait!).

The tour dates are on the tour section.

Yellowcard to bring rock to the troops on the Persian Gulf

We took some days off, but we're back... as Yellowcard is!
Reuters published news regarding the tour. Check some parts below:

"Rock band Yellowcard will soon travel to the Persian Gulf and perform for service men and women as part of a USO/MNC-I expeditionary entertainment tour. This is the first USO tour
for Yellowcard, who will hang out with armed forces, sign autographs and treat
U.S. troops to a selection of hit songs from all their albums. Their latest album "Paper Walls" debuted at no. 13 on the Billboard charts and sold more
than 40,000 copies in its first week.
(Logo: here )

Recognized for their trademark sound infused with entwined guitar lines,
airtight vocal harmonies and flourishes of violin, Yellowcard has performed
before millions, acquired thousands of devoted fans and toured hundreds of
venues. The recipient of an MTV Video Music Award, Yellowcard has also
encountered countless breakout successes. The band's hit single "Gifts and
Curses" was featured in the blockbuster film "Spider-Man 2" and their song
"Breathing" is featured in Electronic Arts' futuristic video game "Burnout
Revenge."

"We're really excited about going to the Middle East with the USO and
performing for the troops," says Yellowcard frontman Ryan Key. "It's a
privilege to have the opportunity to visit and entertain those that serve our
nation. This tour isn't just a treat for them but also for us."

Since 2003, the group has released three chart-topping albums, graced the
covers of magazines like "Alternative Press" and toured nonstop. Yellowcard's
popularity continues to grow with smash hits like "Ocean Avenue," "Don't
Forget About Me," "Lights and Sounds" and "Light Up the Sky," among many
others."

Thanksgiving Day!

Sean left a message on Myspace blog:

family of friends....

"happy thanksgiving!! its funny that we arrived in japan on an american holiday. a day that is usually spent watching football and pigging out on old family recipes, hanging with the folks and all nearby friends, and taking food induced naps, we here at yellowcard spent most of the day travelling. and after our 14 hour travel day was over, we all got together and had a nice italian dinner! i had the bolognese and shared a small pep pizza with lp. it was pretty good too. i have been to japan three times in the last six months, and everything is starting to look really familiar. its a pretty awesome place, one of my favorites in the whole world. but i do kinda miss my family and loved ones today. im just really lucky i travel with my other family. the people i have lived with for the past 8 years. and it was really nice to just sit down and have dinner as a family. that is what holidays are all about, being with your family. so have a safe holiday, and please, for the love of God, eat a piece of pumpkin pie for me."
