Ocean Avenue Live

Yay, finally it was published a video from the last Yellowcard show at Indianopolis Motor Speedway.

Besides the song Ocean Avenue (with the noise of cars in the background), at the end of the video there are some moments where Ryan is talking to the crowd and he's having some problems with the microphone.

Paint The Town Yellow

A big Yellowcard fan, Meggles, has posted on the official forum a project that's really cool, elaborated by her called ""Project Paint The Town Yellow: One For The Band".

Basically the objective is do not let the people forget the band and show everybody that Yellowcard fans are the best in the world and will be there always supporting them. And also do a tribute for all these years of success, after all Yellowcard is somehow part of each one who's reading this.

It's a great project, completely made by fans, including audios of your opinion about the indefinite hiatus, videos of you telling your story, several montages, website for the project, etc.

"Where We Stand" Reunion Show

This is how it was named the show that will happen on next May 24 in Jacksonville, Florida. Just featuring the original members of Yellowcard.
As it was said by Ben Harper, they're gonna play old songs, from 1999 or so!
If you're going to go, you'll have the chance of seeing Warren, Ben H, Todd, LP and Ben together.
Definitely reliving the past. :)

Japanese store / Promotion

I don't remember if we've already talked about that, whatever...

Yuri, a brazilian fan living in Ishikawa, Japan, sent us a curiosity.

There's a store named Rock1 there, that sells official materials of various artists including our beloved Yellowcard.

There's just one item on the store and it's on promotion: the T-shirt of "Words/Hands/Hearts".

It cost 3000 ienes (US$29,11 - a bit expensive, isn't it?) and now is 2000 ienes (US$ 19,40) without freight). it's available on the sizes S, M and L. Besides who buys it will gain 20 (US$0,19 - only this?) on credit.

The best option to the no-japanese fans (price+freight), if you want to buy this T-shirt, it's using Cinder Block, partner of Rock1 and official store of Yellowcard on US.
There, it costs 16 bucks, but it's only available on sizes L and XL.

Interview with Sean

There's a new (and long) interview with Sean!!

Among several questions, we selected the more importants:

So after this tour, are you going to be going out on another tour in the near future?

Right now we’re kind of labeling it like as an indefinite… We’re kind of having a break for a little bit. We’ve been touring for a long time and we don’t know what’s going on with the record label. I think Ryan’s going to move back east, so we’re all just going to take a little bit of a break.

Paper Walls came out last summer. I loved it. I thought it was one of the best records from last year and it should have been huge, but it didn’t really go anywhere. Why do you think that is?

(Laughs.) I don’t know. They’re all theories really. Part of it’s right place, right time. Part of it’s songs. Part of it’s other bands and their songs and whatever. I mean you look at who’s out there and there is musical talent involved, but it’s not like when you’re racing cars or when you’re playing basketball. At the end of the game, there’s a score. This is the better team or the better person or whatever. In music, it’s all subjective. Last year Paramore was fantastic. That girl can sing lights out, they’re young kids and they’re nice guys. I can’t say like we sing better than them or our song is better. It’s all subjective. The powers that be, or the mob and the masses, didn’t take to us as many people took to other artists.

Even Ben Harper, who was my oldest friend – my brother and him played soccer – somewhere in the game of life he took a right when I took a left. That’s just kind of what happens.

That's the end of Paper Walls tour

It's going to happen today at Indianopolis Motor Speedway, Indiana, the last show of the Paper Walls tour.
According to site of the event it's scheduled an 1-hour Yellowcard performace on Coca-Cola Zero stage. The show will start at 5pm (brazilian time).

It's really sad to know about the end of this tour. Even more because they didn't came here to Brazil. But as its said, brazilian people never give up, so we'll keep on waiting for a return soon.

New non-official forum

That's for those who love to join discussions and talk with fans.
Josh, an Yellowcard fan, had the idea of creating a new space to preserve the Underdogs group. After all, the actual forum that belongs to Capitol can disappear anytime, because of all the change that the label and the artists are going through, mainly Yellowcard that announced recently a hiatus.

Back to the forum, the layout is awesome guys! A mix of Paper Walls with the "beach" style of Ocean Avenue. Soooo well made, I loved it! It's just starting, the webdesigner is still fixing some errors, people are starting to register and participate... But it worths to join and see what will happen!
